Review: The Amateur Astronomer’s Journal – Neil Slorance.

amateurAw, man. This was such a charming wee book. I used to have a telescope when I was little and go stargazing with my dad, so this was just really nice. Been a bit stressed over the last month, and this makes me want to copy the book and go dig out the telescope at my dad’s. But since I live in the middle of Edinburgh, probably not. Really love it.

See, what’s enjoyable about Neil’s work is that it’s just nice. It may only take a couple of minutes to read, but there’s an underlying little plotline that can’t help but make you smile when its made fully clear. You learn a few things here and there about stars, and you turn the last page thinking it’s a few minutes very well spent.
